Filters in Patagonia

A photography project created in Patagonia, using NiSi filters in one of the most dynamic landscapes and challenging environments I work in.

Strong winds, rapidly changing weather, dramatic skies, moving water and constantly shifting light made filters an integral part of the way I approached the landscape – not as an effect, but as a photographic tool.

From controlling reflections and balancing extreme differences in exposure to working with longer shutter speeds, the filters allowed me to shape the image in-camera and stay close to the way I experienced the scene.

For me, this project was also about using equipment where it actually matters: outside, in changing conditions, while travelling and working quickly. No controlled setups – just real landscapes, real weather and the challenge of reacting to whatever Patagonia gives you.

A series about light, weather and landscape – and about the tools that help me translate those moments into photographs.
