Tundra Ensemble
A collaboration with Jason Isaac for his Tundra Ensemble, using my photography from Iceland for the releases “The First” and “The Second.”
The Icelandic landscapes became part of the visual identity surrounding the music – raw, remote and atmospheric, with the sense of space, weather and isolation that originally drew me to photograph Iceland.
For me, it was an interesting connection between two different forms of storytelling. The photographs were not created for the music, yet their atmosphere found a natural place alongside it.
Across both releases, landscapes from Iceland became the visual counterpart to the sound of the Tundra Ensemble.
Two releases. Music and landscape. Connected by the atmosphere of the North.
