Film & aerials

Timelapse, aerials, and camera work as DOP — on documentary and commercial shoots, single camera or full crew.

The work runs from smartphone manufacturers to federal courts, with the occasional feature film or television series along the way. For MDR it has produced half-hour landscape films as Slow TV for several years now: pictures and music, half an hour long, with room to settle into.

What it is shot on

Sony FX cinema line, Sony A1 II, DJI Ronin 4D, DJI Mavic 4 Pro, Inspire 3 on request, prime and zoom glass, location lighting. All of it my own.

Aerials

Permits, airspace and the class of operation are settled before the shooting day — so that the shooting day is spent flying rather than phoning. Planning stays inside the 120 metres above ground. Where a frame needs more height, there are two routes: the take-off point, or a specific authorisation.

• Mobile Stories — Xiaomi, ongoing.
• Nonstop — Mitteldeutscher Rundfunk, one or two films a year.

Camera and drone come from one pair of hands. That removes a handover on set — and in the edit the material matches, because it was seen the same way.
